Our children and families worker

Wendy Bowers

Dsc02783 lent challenge editOur Children and Families’ Worker, Wendy Bowers, has been with us for two years, funded by a grant from the Million for Mission fund from Exeter Diocese.  Wendy will be stepping down from her role at the end of April, although she will continue to be a part of the community.   Building on foundations from the past, she has set up Noah’s Ark, Messy Church and Godly Play.  She has encouraged and supported our very large team of volunteers and has inspired us all with her vibrant faith and enthusiasm.  We will miss her so much in this role.  On behalf of all our families, volunteers and the church community I would like to thank Wendy for everything she has given to us.

Everything is in place for Noah’s Ark and Messy Church for the summer months and we look forward to seeing all our families.  Please see the dates on the Families page and the calendar.  We will be appointing a new Children and Families’ Worker for the Holyford Mission Community to start in September 2014.

New Bible Study Groups

For some time now, many of us have been looking forward to the opportunity for regular Bible Study, discussion and fellowship in our Mission Community.   After Easter we will be starting two further Bible Study groups, one in Colyton and one in Musbury. They will each meet fortnightly during term times – please see details below. They will start by looking at the weekly lectionary readings. These groups are in addition to the existing one in Branscombe, so there will now be three opportunities to meet for fellowship, to read the Bible, enjoy lively discussion and pray together.
