Colyton June 18 Breakfast Service – Father’s Day

June is marching on, so it’s time to think about our next Breakfast Service at St Andrew’s Church  –  on Sunday 18 June, Fathers’ Day. We’ll be celebrating Dads, Mums, family life in general, and God’s love for us all.

As usual, we begin with breakfast at 10.00 followed by a short all-age service beginning at 10.30 and lasting around 35 minutes.

We received a very positive response and a big turnout for our first Breakfast Service, along with useful feedback about what’s helpful for families with young children. On 18 June the story and a number of other activities will be specifically aimed at children, who will be given a BUSY BAG (a surprise with a Father’s Day flavour) as the service begins, and plenty to do as we go along.

Do please promote/ share/ invite your friends…..

God at Work Exhibition

St Andrew’s Church Colyton Summer Exhibition will run from Wednesday 21st to Sunday 25th June and will explore God at Work through displays, artefacts and demonstrations set up around the church which will allow children and adults to engage with Jesus’ birth and baptism, his life in the wilderness and the countryside, the time he spent in Jerusalem, and his death and resurrection.  All of this will be linked to what Christians believe now and the work of the church in the 21st century.

Our aim is to reserve the mornings of Wednesday 21st, Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd June for school visits and please contact Mrs Christine Sansom by Monday 6th March if you would like to discuss booking a morning visit. Her phone number is 01297 552065 and her email address is angela.sansom1@btopenworld.com A timetable for the full 5 days, to include the general public will be advertised nearer the time.

If you have any artefacts that you feel might help us, we would be pleased to know and we look forward to welcoming you in June.

Help is needed to set up on the Monday and Tuesday before the exhibition and pack down on the last day, as well as manning the exhibition throughout the week. If you’re interested in helping there will be a sign up sheet at the back of the Church or alternatively please contact Christine Sansom direct, details as above.
